PARTNERSHIP WORKING WITH THE SIP PROGRAMME

The SIP programme has recently entered into partnership working with the Leading aspect award. All SIP managers in the Country have been provided with information about the award through the SIP portal. This will support SIPS in developing their brokerage role. The brokerage section of the School improvement partner portal provides links to databases of leading practice in schools nationally.

“SIPS can search the Leading aspect award database in order to locate a school that may have leading practice relevant to the school improvement priorities of their attached schools”
Mike Doran
Deputy National Director School improvement (Operations) National Strategies

The expectation is not that schools simply replicate successful practice in other schools but by seeing how other schools have successfully gone about tackling school improvement priorities or perhaps by entering into partnership working with such schools this can support the process of school improvement.

The photograph alongside shows Mike Doran talking with Helen Miles, Leading Aspect Award Director. Mike is a member of the Leading Aspect Award Executive Board.
