Director, Leading Aspect Award Agency

Sally Taylor has been involved with the Leading Aspect Award since it started. Sally has a background in education and children's social care. She started her education career as a secondary school teacher in Peckham in London. After a series of other roles in schools in South East London became a secondary Headteacher in Kent in 1997. Sally went to work in Birmingham in 1999 when Mick Waters and Tim Brighouse were both leading education in Birmingham. It was there that the idea for the Leading Aspect Award was born. Since then Sally has worked for the National Strategies. She is a school improvement partner and an Ofsted Inspector. Since September 2008 Sally has been the Head of Service for Raising Achievement with Oxfordshire County Council. In November 2010 she joined Birmingham City Council as Director of education and skills
